The Boy and the Bird

A performance of “The Boy and the Bird.” Emmett was artist-in-residence for a month, during which he composed the book, Dada Handshakes, Illustrated with Prints of Chicken Feet and Duck Feet, from the markets of Vancouver’s Chinatown. As well as Emmett Williams, Ulrike Rosenbach was also in residence producing a videotape, and so was Gábor Bódy, staying at the Front but making a tape for Video Inn. Gábor was joined for a time by his wife Veruschka, who showed Infermental in Vancouver for the first time. It was definitely a full house and a full production with still lots of time for revelry and bread juggling. (Artists are always juggling their bread.) - Hank Bull
