Tyler Coburn will share images and stories from I’m that angel, a publication and series of related reading events held at data centres worldwide. These events give audiences access to the sites where “the cloud” is kept; discuss the industrialization of on-line writing; and describe the role of data centres in the ever-expanding physical Internet.
Tyler Coburn is an artist and writer based in New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Yale University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Coburn’s performances, sound works and installations have been presented at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; the Whitney Museum of American Art; Objectif Exhibitions, Antwerp; CAC Vilnius; LA><ART, Los Angeles; and SculptureCenter, New York. In addition to serving several years as contributing editor of ArtReview and a regular critic for Art-Agenda, he has contributed to frieze, e-flux journal, Art Papers, Rhizome, Shifter and Metropolis M.
