In Local & Long Distance, Roberto Paci Dalo scans the Western Front for a scenic concert employing video images, digital scenery and a multi-channel sound environment. Paci Dalo (clarinets/electronics/sampler/video/direction) will perform in a concert presentation with local and visiting artists: French improvising bassist JoÎlle Léandre, Vietnamese instrumentalist Bic Hoang (dan bao), and gameboy enthusiast Giorgio Magnanensi (electronics/sampler). Co-production by Western Front, Coastal Jazz and Blues Society and Giardini Pensili. Giardini Pensili company supported by Regione Emilia Romagna and Provincia di Rimini.

Roberto Paci Dalo is a director, composer, musician (clarinets / electronics), and a media artist. With his Giardini Pensili company, he has developed an authentic theatrical language out of his background in sound, music, and visual arts, which combines the spoken language with body and architectural elements. His productions have been performed worldwide by outstanding musicians including David Moss, Kronos Quartet, Jean-Marc Montera, Scanner, Sainkho Namtchylak, Gerfried Stocker, Scanner, Tom Cora, and Stefano Scodanibbio.
