Concert of live electronic music.

A native of Montpellier, Jacques Diennet is a leading French composer and performer of electro-acoustic music. A founding member of the Groupe Expérimentale de Musique de Marseille, he was the organiser of a major international festival in that city from 1987 to 1991. He has performed widely in Europe, North America and Japan, and has also been artist-in-residence at Mills College (with Robert Ashley), Dartmouth College (with John Appleton) and recently at the Banff Centre. His Vancouver concert will feature live electronics and the Western Front’s new “Disclavier” piano. Jacques Diennet’s trip to Vancouver is sponsored in part by the City of Marseille.
