Commissioned by Eric Metcalfe and performed on location outside B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver.
Artists Alan Storey and Terry Larkin constructed a tank out of wood, complete with tractor treads and swivel turret. It belched smoke and fired a slide projection onto a complete set of living room furniture set against an interior wall of the brand new stadium. As the small crowd gathered to witness the performance, a security guard was overheard saying on his walky-talky, “There’s some people down here with some sort of tank…”
