Blind Spots

Scourges made of Nietzsche’s texts on women, and portraits of 48 women. A concern with disrupting text and linear narrative; the subjectivity of women; women’s relation to the discourses of mastery and the relation between the real (original) and the represented. The work speaks about the absence of women in modernism’s historical imaginary and looks at the negative position of women and the feminine in the writings of a philosopher central to modernism and to aspects of postmodernism: Frederich Nietzsche.
