Issue Description
The Winter 2009/2010 issue of Front Magazine, themed “Tools,” is available as of December 1, and is distributed free through artist run centres, art institutions, cafes and campuses throughout the Lower Mainland and Victoria.
In this issue, artists discuss how they use what is available to get things done. It is full of conversations with young cultural workers about exciting new projects, ideas, and practices.
The issue features a cover by Diyan Achjadi, and projects by – or with, or about – Johanna & David Duprey, Maggie Groat, Fiona Hernandez, Laura Kozak, Tiziana La Melia, Natalie Purschwitz, The Helen Pitt, Patrick Ready, Robin Selk, Lewis & Taggart. The issue also features a calendar of local arts events through December, January and February.
Front has been published for over 20 years by the Western Front Society, and is available at select newsstands nationally.
