Olof Olsson | Driving the Blues Away

@ 8:00pm

‘Driving the Blues Away’ is a monologue in English by Danish-Dutch-Swedish performance artist Olof Olsson.  It’s a meditation and celebration of the failures and perversities of language, and the body through which it resonates.  The performance lasts for one hour and fifty minutes.  But there is a break.  There’s some ‘strong language’ and a little bit of singing – but nothing worse.

Scrivener’s Monthly is a series of public presentations that explore the space between material practices and spoken words: a periodical that talks. Set alongside the exhibitions program at Western Front, this experiment in “not publishing” involves readings, performances, and other articulations.
