Recently relocated to the West Coast from Newfoundland this virtuosic percussionist whose love for many musical genres traverses from South Indian music, to Ghanian drumming and neo-Carnatic jazz. Andrews leads this evening of Indian compositions, improvisations and modern fusions with music to stimulate the mind and stir the soul. Personnel includes Curtis Andrews playing mridangam, Jared Burrows on electric guitar, Colin Maskell on flute and saxophones, vocalist Vidyasagar Vankayala, and Seattle violinist Prabha Sivaratnam and Karthiga Parmeswaran on veena.
